A Special Gift...

Have you ever gotten a special gift that you simply cherished, with all your heart?... I'm sure many of us have various items that we consider special, and near and dear to our heart, for a variety of reasons.

The most recent cherished item that I received was a very special blanket that my mother gave me.

It's called a "Prayer Blanket"...

I remember first learning about such a thing from a fellow blogger friend over at hoping to be more than a dog mom, as she had received a similar gift which she mentioned in this post, and I thought to myself what an amazing idea!... And then I secretly wanted one.

You see, a "Prayer Blanket" is essentially a blanket that is prayer over, blessed, and anointed for a specific reason... In my case, my blanket was double-blessed.

My mother had gotten it at her church, where some women from the church had either hand crocheted or knit multiple blanks and then prayed over the blankets for healing... The blankets were then offered to any members of the congregation, either for themselves or to give to others.

So, my mom had gotten a blanket, and then her and my dad said additional prayers over the blanket for healing specifically in the area of infertility... and gave it to me.

The beauty in it all is that I hadn't mentioned anything about the blanket I had seen in my friend's post, so my mom had no specific idea that my little heart had secretly desired one - - So when she told me that she had a gift for me, and then later gave it to me, I was more than excited.  I literally even shouted, "I always wanted one of these!!"

Needless to say, this blanket has become very special to me, for various reasons... and I've been using it everyday when relaxing at home on the couch, and have been sleeping with it every night - - Thank you very much mom, means the world! 💜💜💜
